We took a little side trip while in Vegas to visit the Hoover Dam. It was on my list of must-do items - what is more American than a visit to this famous spot? We took a tour of the power plant, stood between Nevada and Arizona and saw Lake Mead before stopping at the Las Vegas sign on the way back to the Strip.
